What led to the introduction of the service?
One of our customers had the following problem:
They were considering the introduction of Model-Based Development (MBD) for a new development project of in-vehicle ECUs. Specifically, they were thinking of creating a hydraulic control model and a gear shift control model for the transmission, and conducting tests in a simulated environment without using the machines themselves. It seemed that they searched for a company that could not only create the control model, but also provide a one-stop service to create test scenarios and perform verification and evaluation using the models.
Issues before introduction
The customer had to find a company that understood transmission and had extensive development experience. They considered developing the control model in-house, but they lacked the development know-how. Another issue was the lack of their development staff available for control model development.
Examples of use after introduction
The customer created hydraulic control models and gear shift control models using MATLAB, and built Model-in-the-loop (MIL) Simulation to verify them with plant models. At the development plant, they carried out development using the control model.
Effectiveness and achieved results
The customer was able to reduce development costs by outsourcing the entire process from control model creation to verification and evaluation. In addition to the creation of the control model, we also received the test scenario and verification results, which allowed them to deepen their understanding of the development details even though they had limited knowledge of the control model.Search
