We have been conducting joint research with Iizuka Laboratory of Shibaura Institute of Technology since 2017. In May 2020, our two joint research results were presented at the Robotics and Mechatronics Conference 2020 hosted by the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Under the influence of COVID-19, it was the first-time conference to be held online, but we were able to make the same research presentation as usual using a video showing the running of the demonstration machine.
In the Iizuka laboratory, researches on wheels using the variable rigidity mechanism are underway for mobility used in extreme environments such as disaster areas. PERSOL RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT will continue to promote joint researches based on industry-academia collaboration and aim to contribute to society through our technology.
The Robotics and Mechatronics Conference
One of the largest conferences in Japan for presenting research results in the fields of robotics, mechanical engineering, and electronic engineering, which is sponsored by the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers. It was held online in 2020. The number of presentations：1,319. The number of participants: 1,711 (Paid participation).
